DECKING STYLES

Composite boards to suit every space.

Wood effect finish

Charming and elegant. Inspired by traditional decking, we’ve infused woodgrains in each board to mimic the authenticity of timber. Choose from a variety of rich, natural tones for a warm and inviting deck.

Capped boards

Where sophistication meets durability. Create a luxe deck you’ll enjoy for years to come with our solid boards. Available in various woodgrain textures and timeless tones, your garden will look effortless in every season.

Ribbed & grooved

For modern spaces. A narrow, ribbed texture on one side, a broader, grooved finish on the other – our reversible boards offer unmatched versatility to bring striking, one-of-a-kind decks to life.

Scalloped profile

Subtle details meet structural integrity. Our most lightweight design features a gentle groove in each board. Choose from hues that echo the natural charm of timber or the polished feel of modern design to give your garden the perfect finish.

Extra wide

Minimalism at its finest. These ultra-modern boards are sleek, stylish, and simple to maintain. Crafted with a 100% recycled PVC core and installed with a hidden clip system, they create a seamless finish ready to impress.

I loved the whole process and the design process was straightforward. I already had an idea of styles and colours, and Chris brought the samples so I could choose what I liked. I would absolutely recommend Vale & Eden to anyone looking to renovate their garden space.

The result is a really lovely outdoor space that we can now use with the children when the weather is nice. The project took place in January 2026 and was completed in about four to five days. The turnaround was very quick and the finished result looks amazing.

Vale and Eden handled the design and brought us along throughout the process. We were involved in choosing the colours and ensuring the anti slip features were included, but the overall design was created for us and we felt very included in that journey.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Your composite decking questions, answered

01. Why choose composite decking?

Composite decking has numerous advantages over other decking materials, particularly timber. All Vale & Eden deck boards are:

  • Highly durable

Our boards are resistant to insect infestation, rotting, warping, and decaying.

  • Safe and practical

By nature, the boards don’t splinter, so you can feel confident to walk on them barefoot. They’re also highly slip-resistant, but we do offer them with anti-slip inserts for extra peace of mind.

  • Fade resistant

During the first three months after installation, the boards will change slightly in colour as they acclimatise to your environment. After three months, they will remain the same, consistent tone all year-round. That’s no matter the intensity of the sunlight or weather.

  • Simple to maintain

Keeping a composite deck looking as good as new is straightforward. Unlike timber boards, composite doesn’t need to be stained, painted, or oiled. A simple sweep and wash is enough to maintain its charm.

  • A more sustainable choice

All of our decking is manufactured in Britain from sustainably-sourced or recycled materials.

02. What’s the difference between composite and uPVC decking?

Composite decking offers a more natural and refined appearance. Our composite boards hold genuine eco-credentials and are made from 95% sustainably-sourced materials. They’re the perfect choice for outdoor living, offering:

  • High durability
  • Minimal maintenance
  • High resistance to weathering

On the other hand, uPVC decking is generally more affordable. However, it requires more care and maintenance than composite blends and often has lower slip resistance.

03. Is your composite decking non-slip?

Yes, all of our decking systems are designed with anti-slip performance in mind all year-round. For added peace of mind, we can install anti-slip inserts into your boards to enhance grip and safety underfoot.

04. What are your deck boards made from?

We’re proud to manufacture our wood composite boards from 95% recycled and sustainably-sourced raw materials.

Approximately 60% of the material in our boards is sustainably-sourced wood fibre, which is certified by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). We have held this PEFC/16-37-1226 Chain of Custody certification since 2011 to show that we can trace these wood fibres back to responsibly and sustainably managed forests.

Recycled HDPE polymer makes up around 35% of the materials in the boards – this is recycled plastic from consumer waste, such as bottles and containers.

By combining the wood flour with the polymer pellets and then extruding it, we’re able to produce our wood polymer composite boards.

05. What warranty do your boards come with?

We’re proud to offer market-leading warranties for our composite decking collections. Our boards are guaranteed with manufacturer-backed warranties up to 25 years on both materials and installation assurance. Please speak to us for details on the individual warranties of each board.

06. Is your decking available in different colours?

Absolutely – all of our decking collections are offered in numerous colourways and finishes, so you can find the perfect shade to complement your outdoor space. If you’re a fan of a contemporary look, our smokey greys and midnight blacks are sleek, stylish, and seamless for minimalist gardens. For a more traditional look, we have a range of wood hues, from darker nutty browns to lighter, refined tones.

07. What materials do you use for the decking subframe?

It totally depends on the design, scale, and size of your deck. We use structural systems of the highest quality and durability to ensure your deck has strength and stability for ultimate longevity. Usually, we design and fit subframes using composite and aluminium structures because of their robust integrity. Sometimes, we use timber – but this is usually for projects where a timber subframe is already in place or due to the personal preference of the customer.

For more information about decking subframes, please speak to us.

08. Can I use my existing subframe?

In some cases, and if it meets structural and safety standards, we’re able to fit Vale & Eden decking on your existing subframe. As with every element of the design, our experienced team will assess the condition and suitability of the subframe and advise you on the best approach.

09. Do you use your own decking installers?

We do. By working with our own trusted professional installation teams who understand our products and our standards, we ensure your deck is fitted to the highest of standards.

10. How long does installation take?

During your design consultation, we’ll be able to advise you on the timescale of the full project (from survey to completion).

Typically, we’re able to complete smaller projects in days, while larger transformations will take longer (around 10 days). During every step of the installation, you will be kept up-to-date so you can feel confident in what’s been completed and what’s to come.

11. How do I clean and maintain composite decking?

We’ve intentionally designed our decking systems to be as easy to maintain as possible. All you need to do is simple and periodic sweeping and rinsing to keep the boards looking their best. No intensive upkeep is required – it really is as straightforward as that.

COMPOSITE FENCING

Complete the look.

Decking creates the moment. Fencing completes the backdrop. We’ve designed our composite decks and fences to complement each other to give your garden the finish it deserves. Working as one, they blend comfort with privacy and security to make your garden your perfect retreat.
