01. Does the consultation have to take place at my house?
We always start with a quick call to introduce ourselves and get a feel for what you’re after. Then we visit you at your home with our 3D visualisation tool to bring your ideas to life. You’ll see how your new deck or fence would look and the space it’d open up outside for you and your family. It’s also the perfect time to play around with the different shades and textures we offer to find the boards and panels that complement your garden.
02. How much time does the consultation take?
Please allow an hour for your initial consultation. We’ll ask you some questions, take down the details of your project, and discuss your requirements. We’ll then create a 3D render of your new deck or fence to visualise it there and then, so you can see how it’d look from the comfort of your home.
03. After the consultation, how long does it take before installation?
Two to four weeks is our typical turnaround time, but it depends on the type and scale of your project. Once we’ve finished the consultation, we’ll need to carry out a survey to understand the nuances of your garden, from ground conditions to access points. The survey usually takes place a few days after the consultation. When it’s complete, our designers start to shape your chosen products. Then, it’s over to our trusted installers. We’ll keep you updated during every step of the process, so you can plan accordingly.
04. Do I need a survey?
You’ll need a survey for both new composite decking and fencing. It allows us to understand your space, your requirements, and the vision you have for your outdoor area. Every project we deliver at Vale & Eden is unique, so a survey is essential for a seamless process from design to installation.
05. What happens during a survey?
The on‑site survey is carried out by one of our experienced team members. It includes:
- Taking measurements
- Assessing the ground and surroundings
- Reviewing access points
- Discussing your preferences, preferred styles, and practical needs
- Confirming final layout options and design considerations
The survey gives us the technical accuracy needed to design and make the deck or fence that fits your space perfectly. Your garden is unique, so we always make our preparations as detailed as possible for the best and safest results.
06. Do you use your own installers?
Every single Vale & Eden deck board and fence panel is fitted by our professional installers. With years of experience installing our products and our high standards, there’s no one more suited to making sure your garden gets the finish it deserves.
07. How soon can you install?
We always aim to get your garden project moving as quickly as we can, so you can enjoy it sooner. The exact timescale depends on project scale, design complexity, and current demand. From the outset, we provide clear timelines so you can prepare, plan, and feel excited about your new space.
08. How long will installation take?
Installation times vary from garden to garden. Smaller decks and fences may be completed in days, while larger transformations take longer. We keep you up to date every step of the way to keep the process simple and smooth.
09. Do you offer finance?
